Leonidio lies impressively beneath the red cliffs of the Parnon Mountains and is surrounded by olive groves, steep mountain slopes, and fertile valley scenery. The route leads out of the town and up into a quiet mountain world where nature, history, and spirituality are closely intertwined. The destination is the Monastery of Agios Nikolaos Sintzas, which sits above Leonidio as if pinned to the rocks and is one of the most impressive places in the area.
